ABOUT
ME!

Growing up in San Diego felt like a crossroads of landscapes where desert, mountains, and coastline all met within reach. From early on, I was drawn to floral patterns, the repeating actinomorphic forms of flowers, the petals and venation tracing through leaves. Flowers became an early point of focus not only for their beauty but for the patience and care they demanded. My mother, Flordeliza, whose name itself comes from flower, was a quiet guide in this curiosity. Over time, technique gave way to instinct and what began as study opened into something more expansive. A meadow emerged, not discovered but cultivated through years of attention and practice. That openness marked a shift, a decision to stay with what has always been mine, continuing to tend, observe, and allow the work to unfold through art.
